 LA RONDE 54" pebble mosaicPebble mosaic with black belgian block surround for outdoor landscape or driveways. Capable of withstanding the weight of automobiles. |  The design and moldsLayout and design. Wooden molds are shaped to form the segments of the 9 piece design. |

 Pebble placementIn an upside down process, pebbles are first placed in sand. The bottom surface will be the actual top surface of the mosaic when revealed. |  Fitting pebblesGradating sizes of black mexican beach pebbles with large white granite pebbles accented with golden ocher beach stones create the pallet. |
 Three moldsAlternating the wooden molds helps to save on space and to make sure the design stays consistent. |  Poured grout and concreteWhen all the pebbles are in place a smooth layer of grout is poured over the pebbles in sand, then a thick layer of concrete is added to the depth of the mold, keeping each segment identically the same thickness. |
 Unsetting the moldAfter concrete is set the wooded mold is pried off, the sand is washed off the base of the molded piece revealing the smooth pebble surface. |  AssemblyAfter washing off all the sand the pieces are now flipped over, pebble side up and assembled dry to make sure everything fits before the true installation. |
